England had fallen asleep and Eli was nowhere to be found.

America looked outside and called for him. When no reply came he began to panic. He ran back inside and woke up England, "I can't find Eli."

England blinked and mumbled a sleepy reply, "He's outside.... isn't he?" He processed what America said and he started to get scared too. He sat up, "He is... he said he was!"

America looked at the clock and his panic grew, "That was hours ago!" he grabbed the phone and hastily called the police.

England jumped off the bed and hurried downstairs to grab his coat and shoes. He went to search for Eli himself. It was freezing outside, and icy too... what if Eli slipped and hurt himself and couldn't get home? England didn't want to even think about it.

America felt embarrassed telling the police they'd left their five year old unattended in the backyard, and held his face as he spoke. Soon the police were at their house.

England searched everywhere for Eli. He searched the neighbourhood and the forest at the back of his garden but had no luck. He came back when it started to get dark, just before the police arrived. He tried not to cry.

America was sitting out front in only a t-shirt and pants. He was freezing, but that didn't matter to him. He just answered the questions when needed and watched them. He was angry at England for not watching Eli, but he tried not to be.

England blamed himself. He hated himself for falling asleep, even though he'd done so well with not dozing off randomly like he used to. He told the police everything they wanted to know. He felt sick and when the police were finished and were about to leave, he begged them to find Eli and bring him home safe. "We'll do all we can," the police officer replied then left.

America just sat there, staring at the snow. He grabbed his head, thinking of all the things he'd seen in his life. What was this bastard doing to his son? He twitched and shook his head, "As if I didn't have enough problems..."

England sat down on the couch and hugged his knees to his chest. He didn't like sitting here doing nothing so he jumped up after a few moments and went to get his keys.

England just nodded and went to his car to get rid of the snow on it first.

America helped him, not caring he still wasn't properly dressed, and got in.

Whilst they were getting the snow off, England had turned the engine on and the car was heated up when they got inside. Carefully, England drove off the driveway and down the street. It was dark and it was snowing again and he just hoped that they could have some indication as to what happened to Eli. Anything that would help find him.
