England was truely upset, but he did his best to brush it off when he saw Eli tear up, "We're not fighting," he reassured.

America finished his ice cream and was suddenly more quiet.
Eli watched America, expecting him to do anything, and his shoulers sagged when he didn't. He looked back at England, "Then why's Daddy so quiet?"
"Hm?" America glanced at Eli, then smiled, "'Cause I always say the wrong thing, so I figured I'd be quiet until something else happened."

England shrugged a little. He just wanted to go home.

When Eli was finished America picked him up. Eli was falling asleep in his arms, so he gently got him situated in the car and got in again.

England was quiet all the way back. They soon got home.

America tucked Eli in and shut his door. He went to their room with England and shut it, "What did I do wrong?"

America walked over and held England's face, making him look at him, "Everytime I act myself you get annoyed."

England sighed quietly and looked out the window.

"I love you, England," he said, closing his eyes and pausing for a moment before quickly going into the bathroom and shutting the door. The lock clicked. America never locked the bathroom (because what was there that England hadn't already seen?)
He turned on the shower.

England watched him go and he stared at the door for a while then decided to lie down.

America just wet his hair so that it'd look like he had taken a shower. He was crying, and he didn't want England to know, but every once in a while a sob could be heard from inside. He felt, for some reason, that England was only with him because he was good looking, or a good fuck, or something. He was starting to think England didn't love him for him, and that was terrible for him.

England thought he heard something from inside the bathroom, but he coudn't be too sure so he thought nothing of it. The stress of everything that had happened latley (and this didn't include Eli) was gradually building up and it was getting hard to deal with. But that was his problem and his alone and he would deal with it. Right now he just wanted a hug. But he wouldn't admit that.
