England walked home, sighing to himself. When he got home he went to look for America.

America was in his room, reading a book.

England went to America's room and knocked once before opening the door and walking in, "Hello, America, how are you today?" He asked as if nothing happened.

America's heart leaped nervously, and he looked up at England. "Good. Sorry I didn't come home last night. I was... At a friend's house."

"Oh I see. Well next time, tell me okay." England said, then walked by the window, "Something happened at the harbor earlier, do you know anything about that?"

America looked over at him, and shook his head, "No. What happened?"

"All the tea got thrown into the harbor." England told him, as he looked out the window, "Are you sure you don't know anything."

America's heart was beating so fast. His hands were shaking, and he put the book down so it was less noticable, "Really? That's crazy," he said, keeping his gaze on anything but his guardian. He then nodded, "I knew nothing about it."

"Are you sure?" England repeated, then he turned to look at him, "Because I think you're lying to me."

"I'm not," he said, trying to sound as honest as he could, "If this is about what I did yesterday I'm sorry. I got carried away. I wasn't at the harbor today." He couldn't believe he was lying to England. It hurt, really. He didn't know why, the man was a tyrant. He didn't want England mad at him, he didn't want England being mean to his people anymore. He just wanted it to be like back when Jamestown was first settled, and his voice wasn't cracking, and England's king wasn't so mean.

"Infact," he said, as if he didn't acknowledge America's answer, "I /know/ you're lying to me..."

"What?" America looked up at him incredilously. Oh god no. He saw him. He grabbed the armrests, ready to defend himself.

"You know, next time you decide to paint yourself, make sure you wash it /all/ off." England said as he approached him and wiped a bit of the paint from his cheek. "Now tell me, why did you all throw the tea in the harbor?" He was surprisingly calm.

America was almost afraid of his calmness. He looked down, and his heart shattered. How could he have been so stupid as to not wipe the paint off completely? He took a few deep breaths, trying to calm himself, "I'm sick of you telling me what to do."

"Oh really?" England questioned, crossing his arms over his chest.
